Prayer Points For Every Nation Nürnberg

As I mentioned in my newsletter, our group has been growing. And that means that God is giving us new responsiblities, expanding us, and causing us to go beyond ourselves--ultimately requiring us to completely rely on Him to show up. What an awesome privilege!
One that, obviously, requires much much prayer. So I thought that I would share with you some of our greatest prayer requests in order both to give you an idea of where we are heading and what we are up to, as well as to give you the opportunity to pray along with us if you feel so led. I know that we would be mightily blessed and impacted by your prayers! The prayers of a righteous man avails much, afterall! So . . .
Prayer Requests for Every Nation Nürnberg
1. January U-NITE--This coming Saturday we will be gathering for our next large U-NITE Outreach meeting. Normally we have between 50 to 60 youth from around the city, although there will be another large ministry event going on at the same time (something we did not know about beforehand, otherwise we would have tried to join somehow). Please pray that God will bless both events, that He will show up and transform hearts. That those will come to both events that He wants to be there. And also please pray for our speaker, Gareth Lowe, who recently moved to Berlin from South Africa, pray for his safety as he travels, as well as for the Holy Spirit to lead and direct him as speaks at U-NITE as well as at or church the next morning.
2. Our Guy's and Girl Groups -- With our new discipleship focus on Christ being formed in us, we have decided that instead of meeting weekly with the men and the women together, as we had been doing, that at least twice a month we will separate in order to enable us to go deeper in Him. At least to begin with, the men will be going through John Eldredge's book, 'Wild at Heart,' and the women through its counterpart, 'Captivating.' Please pray for that this season ahead of us will be fruitful, both in Christ being formed in us, as well as strenghening our relationships with one another.
3. For Hearts To Be Healed in Our Group--There are some in our group who come from very difficult backgrounds and who need significant healing in their lives. Thoughts of suicide, deep struggles with anger, psychological struggles. Please pray for supernatural healing, as well as wisdom for us as we try to discern who best to direct them to for help.
4. C4 Conference--For the last few years we have held an evangelistic conference for our youth from Innsbruck, Salzburg, a town near Vienna, Augsburg, and Nürnberg, entitled C4. This year, in March, Nürnberg will host it for the first time. We are excited about this opportunity, but we need a ton of prayer. Please pray that we find the perfect location to host this event. That our worship band can rise up to this new challenge. That we will know what is on God's heart for this conference as we choose a theme for the weekend. That God will show up and transform lives. And that those that God wants to come will come.
5. For Our Worship Team--Please pray that we will grow noticeably in our foundation for worship, our ability to truly worship from the heart, in our technical skill, our character, our unity, as well as in our capacity. Also for wisdom for us, the leadership, as we seek to build something that enables God to bring about His will for us as a group. There is a great longing among many of us to write our own songs, as well as to become something of a Hillsongs for Europe. It is a big vision, but first thing's first . .. build it in the right way from the beginning so God can direct the way. Please pray for His Grace, His Direction, and most of all, His Presence in all that we are doing.
6. Possible Mission Trip to Ukraine--We are praying about the possibility of taking our group on its first mission trip to the Ukraine, where Sergej, on our church's leadership team, has connections. It could be an amazing opportunty, but first we want to pray and ask God for His will, as well as His direction.
7. Outreach--It is on our hearts to step it up in reaching out to those around us here. We are in the midst of potentially starting an Alpha course in our church, which would also overflow into what we are doing with our youth. We have also seriously considered serving the orphans here in Nürnberg in some way. And of course, there is the outreach on the campuses and in the schools. Several of our youth have already begun to lead Bible studies in their high schools--a thing that is a huge deal here. Please pray for us for wisdom so that we will do 'what we see the Father doing--,' and that we will do it with all our hearts, serving others as He served us.
8. Summer Outreach in Nürnberg--We have it on our hearts to organize a very large summer outreach here in Nürnberg along with the other ministries here in the city. We will begin contacting and building relationships with the leaders of these ministries here in the next week or two, trusting and believing God for unity, as well as for strategic ideas on what we can do together to impact the city for Christ.
9. For Protection and Encouragement, and Growth for Us--There are a lot of challenges here spiritually. Please pray for an overcoming spirit to rise up in us. And please pray for physical and soulish and spiritual protection for us. God has given us the victory, but we are also called to be wise, to recognize how the enemy comes against us, and to resist him, in order that that victory may be enforced. Please pray for God's will to be done in this city, in the youth here, as well as in our livers personally.
Okey Dokey, well, I could go on and on but this is already more than enough. It is really a huge blessing to share with you all what is on our hearts, as well as for you to join us in prayer (as you feel led) to see God moving mountains, changing hearts, and lifting Jesus Name up above every Name in Heaven and on earth. We will see major fruit coming forth from our prayers!
Thank you so much, and God Bless!
Deanna
